Blog 4: Partners in Crime

Towards the end of this episode when the mothership is taking up the Adipose and Ms Foster, The Doctor tries to warn her that the Adipose are going to kill her.  Why would they want to do this?

The Adipose wanted to kill Miss Foster because she was their children's nanny.  They were simply using her so that she would breed their children.  Earlier in the episode The Doctor mentioned that what she was doing was illegal.  After they got what they wanted (the children) they no longer needed, or wanted, Miss Foster around.  This is because they knew what they were doing was illegal and as a result they wanted to cut all loose ends.  They simply killed her because they no longer needed her and because they didn't want to have any loose ends if they were to get caught.

During this episode Amy gets nagged on by her mother about how she isn't doing anything with her life, so she then goes and talks with her father.  How does this speak of how Amy is feeling?

This shows that one, she is closer with her father because they seem to get along better than her and her mother.  For example, her mother sits there and nags her when she first sees her.  On the other hand, her father greets and jokes with her, and they both seem to enjoy being with each other.  Secondly this shows that Amy is seeking a male companion.  Without having The Doctor in her life she reaches out to her father to talk to when things don't seem to be going too well.  On the other hand her mother almost chases her away by nagging her.
