Blog 24: Summary of Conclusion

Summary of Conclusion:

         My conclusion scene will included the scene in an episode I watched on my own where a man comes to the Dollhouse looking for a perfect date. He takes Echo on a sort of adventure sports type of date then they have sex in his tent. He then tells her she has 5 minutes then he comes after her. He attempts to chase her down with a bow and arrow. This is a good example of human trafficking because it expresses several important points. The people being trafficked are seen as expendable and subhuman in a way that a person does not have a problem hunting them down. Some advice I could give based on this scene relating to a real world scenario would be how drug lords willingly use poor citizens of the town they are in to transport their drugs all around the world. If one of their drug mules is caught or dies along the way the drug lord does not care about the human being lost as much as the drugs that he/she was carrying. They then just replace the mule with another one as if they are almost inanimate objects like luggage. The advice that could be given would be that the potential mule try and find different methods of making money or tell the authorities and there could be a possible reward for turning in a drug dealer.
