-Show how Topher’s cockiness/high
confidence was very naïve of him to be
with details. Topher’s attitude shows he
was not aware of how powerful this technology would become
4. Scene 2
-Use the episode when Topher has
gone crazy in Epitaph 2 to show that he has lost control of the technology once
used for the Dollhouse.
5. Analysis 2
- Show that once Topher lost
control of the tech, he lost control of his mind and connect that to it leading
to an almost end of the world.
6. Implications
- Argument: The writers of
Dollhouse use Topher’s cockiness/high confidence in the imprinting method of “the
chair” to argue that the advancement and research in technology could possibly
cause disaster and huge consequences on the world if not taken seriously and
overlooked.
-Real World Connection: One
controversial issue in our research methods today is Stem Cell Research. There are many people who are for and many
people who are against this issue. If
overlooked by by the research scientists, chaos could occur if these scientists
lose control of what is theorized to be achieved.
