Blog 26: EoS III


Part One:

1a. catch the reader’s attention and introduce the idea of fast evolving technology and that it needs to be controlled
2a. Give a good base for the reader so they know how the technology started off and how it developed to cause so much damage.
3a. Scene 1
4a. Prove that Topher’s technology got out of control and he regrets it.
5a. Scene 2
6a. Prove the destruction the technology caused and how the characters view it
7a. The writers of Dollhouse use the rapid development of the dollhouse technology, from something seemingly good into something horrible and destructive; to argue that if new fields of study do not have proper foresight and regulation they can get out of hand and cause chaos and destruction. This argument is applicable to the real world. A prime example of this is nuclear weapons.
8a. Introduce scholarly sources and how they are connected.
9a. Examine the development of nuclear weapons.
10a. Analyze how the technology got out of control and caused a large amount of death.
11a. Examine the future of nuclear weapons after the first.
12a. Prove that we didn’t learn how to deal with it.
13a. reintroduce dollhouse by connecting it to the real world example
14a. Scene 3
15a. Look at how the technology in dollhouse was dealt in this scene and what we can learn
16a. Look at the overall warning and message of Dollhouse and conclude with the point that technology is dangerous and requires responsible use and creation.

Part Two:

1b. Introduces the idea of fast evolving technology and warns that it needs to be regulated.
2b. Explains what the dollhouse technology started as and how it developed up to destroying the world.
3b. Scene 1
4b. Says Topher regrets the technology and couldn’t control the weapon he created
5b. Scene 2
6b. says that the scene is an example of what technology can do and analyzes what Caroline meant with the match quote
7b. Introduces the argument, how it connects to the scenes, and connects it to Oppenheimer and nuclear weapons.
8b. Says nuclear weapons are a good example and starts to give background on their creation and Oppenheimer.
9b. Real world example that explains why the technology was developed and why its impact was so strong.
10b. Kind of disproves the reasons given for why the technology was developed and says scientists should be responsible for these creations.
11b. Shows that nothing was really learned and that Oppenheimer lost his job for not supporting further development of the technology.
12b. Explains that we should learn from past mistakes and says we still have the problem of nuclear technology in the modern world.
13b. Connects the real world example to the real world example.
14b. Scene 3
15b. See what we can learn from the show.
16b. conclusion that looks at the show as a whole and says it’s a warning that technology is dangerous and hard to control.
