Blog 29: EoS III: 12, 15, 16 and 18

Section One:

1. Put statements in positive form
-Use the word "not" as a form of denial, not as evasion.
-Negative words other than "not" are usually strong

2. Express coordinate ideas in similar form
-Keep similar content together in structure for a better flowing paper
-Not keeping your ideas parallel can make you look undecided
-All congruent ideas should be the same in presentation

3. Keep related works together
-Such as title and author
-The phrase between the related words needlessly breaks up the sentence
-Modifiers should be next to the word they modify

4. Place the emphatic words of a sentence at the end
-Put the word(s) you are trying to stress at the end of the sentence
-Another place for prominent words is at the beginning of a sentence

Section Two:
Most of my problems came with rules 1 and 4. However, I fixed them in my paper and fixing rule #1 also made some of my sentences less lengthy
