Blog 12: Epitaph Two: Return

In the scene where Echo and Cierra are destroying the tech, Echo starts into a rage and questions Cierra about telling Tony that she loves him.  Why does she do this and how has it affected her?

Echo goes into this rage because right before everyone was safe underground going towards the Dollhouse, Paul gets shot in the head trying to help the girl who was shot in the legs.  Obviously, throughout the episodes we have watched, Paul is deeply in love with Caroline/Echo.  Watching her go out and be completely other people killed him inside as he never felt like she was in love with him.  At last, when Paul is killed she fully regrets and realizes that not telling him she was in love with Paul was the biggest mistake she has made.  Then she puts it in the mind to tell Tony she loves him before he is gone.  Cierra shows this by introducing T to his father, Tony.

In the last scene, where Echo is supposed to go and destroy the chair, someone leaves her a file with her name on it.  What does Echo do, what is on the file, and how does it affect her?

When Echo finds the file laying on the chair she decides to imprint it into her mind.  I'm guessing Topher left the file for her.  Imprinted in the file are probably all the memories she has ever had, and the most important one is a memory of her and Paul.  After she is done with the file, she opens her eyes and seems more humble and happier mainly because a memory of Paul was her last memory and she has now has other memories that she can never forget as the world is about to change again.

  1. its hard not to empathize with echo. You never know when your last chance to say it might be. I'm glad she learned a lesson at least.
