Argument: The writers of Dollhouse use
the many instances of the rich using Dolls to fulfill their fantasies to argue
that, since the Dolls can’t make decisions for themselves, those people
imposing their wills upon the Dolls are morally wrong because they are using
another unknowing human for their own personal pleasure.
Potential Scenes: When Joel Mynor orders Echo to come to his house and pretend to be his wife. Another appropriate scene would be when one of the keepers takes advantage of Cierra. Another scene would be when Mellie is switched on by the telephone call from of Adele and turns into a lethal killer and kills the assassin sent to kill her.
Analysis: The first scene shows how the Dolls are so easily programmed and just forced against their wills. Scene two shows how unknowing the Dolls are by the blank stare on Cierra's face as a man she doesn't know advances on her sexually. The third scene shows how easily the programmer imposed his will upon Mellie to make her a super assassin that could easily kill a man twice her size.
