Blog 9: PSA Outline


PSA Outline-
        I.            Background Info Game of Thrones “Garden of Bones”
a.       Game of Thrones “Garden of Bones” is a show about many different people fighting for the power of one kingdom.
      II.            Scene I: Throne room scene
a.       This scene in Game of Thrones “Garden of Bones” is set in the throne room of King’s Landing where King Jofferey is abusing his future queen Sansa Stark.
    III.            Analysis I
a.       How Tyrion is sympathetic toward the Starks
b.      King Jofferey and his obsession with power
c.       Tyrion using his authority to threaten the king and rescue Sansa Stark
d.      How does this show that Tyrion is a good person?
e.      Why can’t Tyrion help more often?
    IV.            Scene II: Tyrion’s room and his cousin
a.       In this scene Tyrion’s cousin comes to Tyrion’s chambers late at night to deliver a warrant from his sister demanding he free Picel from prison.
      V.            Analysis II
a.       Tyrion is getting evidence to use against his sister
b.      He is using his family members for his own benefit
    VI.            Implications (what argument are writers making?)
a.       The writers in Game of Thrones use Tyrion Lanister to show that even a selfish, power hungry man can still have good qualities and be a likeable character.
