Scene where Mal returns the medicine
-At this
point in “The Train Job” Mal has discovered that the cargo he stole was
medicine for the people of Paradiso and has fought off Nikolai’s men.
3.Analysis Iàstereotypes:
After stealing the cargo and finding out what that cargo consisted of, Mal decided
that he wanted to return the medicine back to the people of Paradiso
-Criminals
are bad
-Immoral
-Cold-hearted
-Mal redeems himself
-sees the wrong choice he made and tries to do right
4. Scene IIà
Scene where Mal tries to give back the money
-mal and
his crew defeat Nikolai’s men and Mal tries to give one of them back the half
of the pay they received before the mission.
5.Analysis II à
Mal could have easily kept the half of the money they were paid before the
mission, but since they didn’t actually go through with the mission he wants to
return it
-tries to return the money
-says we’re not thieves, well we are thieves.
6.ImplicationsàThe
writers of Firefly undermine our
society’s stereotype that all criminals are bad people by using Mal’s morality.
-often times we assume that one bad decision makes someone a
bad person
